RADIANT (Psyne, #3)
A Psyne Novel
by Jasmine Angell

A mysterious pool of the past…a cave of prismatic wonders…a dying planet.

The future of two peoples hangs in the balance.

In the wake of the victory over the Council and Atargatis, a new dawn breaks for the Psyne people. Ilauria embraces her title as Lysannah and has only one goal: secure freedom for her people. But between assassination attempts, a tentative new alliance with the male Psyne, and a strained relationship with Phaedrus, the man she loves, Ilauria soon learns the precariousness of her situation.

After a violent confrontation with the Bahree, tragedy strikes and the Vahjra Child goes missing. Events continue to spiral out of control for Ilauria and her friends when a dangerous prisoner escapes, allies become enemies and a powerful Ancient bent on revenge is revealed.

Will Ilauria’s era of freedom have a chance to thrive or will it end before it’s even begun?

prism front cover-final 1000

The adventure continues…Prism, my second book in the Psyne series, has been published as an eBook on Amazon!  For only $2.99, this fast-paced read is perfect for summer!

PRISM (#2, Psyne series)

Dervitika is a planet of secrets where the past and present collide.

Will Ilauria survive the collision in order to bring her people out of darkness?

At the conclusion of Luminous, the Council sentenced Ilauria to an eternity imprisoned on an exile planet—little did they know that was exactly where she wanted to be. There, Ilauria makes new friends, reunites with old ones and together, they help her uncover secrets twelve thousand years old which will transform her people’s future forever. Yet the most elusive secret is shrouded in danger and it will test Ilauria in ways she could have never imagined.
Back on the Psyne home world, the Council and Atargatis vie for control of Nessa, the twelve-year-old girl who was forever changed by Psyne magic and transformed into the Vahjra Child. Adante and Shivan find their alliance is on shaky ground as they are pitted against one another in a race to see who will get to Nessa first. Whoever prevails will have access to untold magic…

While Ilauria digs deeper into the past, her human friends try their best to protect Nessa from the powerful forces converging upon her. With the sorcerer, Arman Altieri, still at large and Atargatis poised to implement a game changing power play against the Council, the stakes are higher than ever.

Prism, the newest novel in the Psyne series, will be available in two short weeks!

I’m pleased to announce that Prism, Book Two in the Psyne series, will be officially released as a Kindle ebook on the Amazon website as of Saturday, June 28th. Prism is the sequel to Luminous and will continue the adventures of Ilauria, the once loyal servant to the Council, now deemed a defector, who is determined to reveal the truth beneath the lies the Council has fed her people for millennia. Adante and Shivan will be pitted against one another and the ultimate prize is the power held by the Vahjra Child, Nessa. On Earth, Ilauria’s human friends, Gavin and Duncan do everything they can to keep Nessa safe but will it be enough? On top of that, the Venvian Queen makes her bid for control of their world and the sorcerer, Arman Altieri remains in the shadows, waiting to capture the one Psyne he values most in the universe: Ilauria.

During the next two weeks, more info will be posted on my blog about Prism, the enchanting next installment in the Psyne book series. Prepare to get your mermaid on!

A Writer’s Near Death Experience…

Luminous on table

Last Friday, I experienced the kind of day all writers look forward to:  the day they finally get to hold the book they’ve worked so hard on in their very hands!  It was delivered in a flat brown box via FedEx and opening it up was surreal.  Looking at Luminous manifested in book form for the first time was one of the most magical moments of my life.  To have something that started as a tiny speck of inspiration in my mind so many years ago and to see it take shape in this world…for it to go from the mists of the imagination to the solid compilation of pages, words can’t describe.  In many ways, I had a near death experience because in those few moments, all the years I’d worked on creating the Psyne Universe flashed before my eyes.  Finally, all that work had paid off and Luminous was in book form as it was always meant to be.  To make the memory complete, I had the privilege of showing my toddler the back page of the book and when I asked her who was in the picture on the Author page, she promptly exclaimed, “That’s mommy!”  I say “I had the privilege of showing” her the book because for me, even more than the personal satisfaction of publishing my first book is the fact that I’m now a role model in the professional world to my children and I can be proud to show them that through perseverance and determination, their dreams can come true too.  It means the world to me that they can draw strength from my example.  Every writer has different reasons and motivations for going down the difficult road to publishing and it took becoming a mother to push me to finally do it.  Keep writing aspiring authors, keep working and dreaming and believing and learning and editing.  Keep creating and you will get there too!  In the age of e-books, Kindle and other such devices (I love my Kindle Fire), nothing quite beats the feeling of holding a physical copy of my book in my hands.  Nothing.  I’m on Cloud 9!
